eVSM Workshop - Electronic Value Stream Mapping : Lean training
course Australia
eVSM
Workshop
Maximum number of workshop participants: 10
Description:
This 1 day workshop will train users in the basic functionality
of the eVSM (electronic value stream mapping) software, and give
them the opportunity tp practice on their own value streams. The
eVSM software was independently designed to complement to the lean
workbooks from the Lean Enterprise Institute and its Global Lean
Network and is distributed by members of the network (in USA,
United Kingdom, Holland, France and Australia). There are 10,000+
users of eVSM worldwide today.
The workshop will provide hands-on training on how to reduce
mapping time using new 'Quick' drawing templates from the latest
version (V5). New users will find great benefit in the software
overview, example maps and mapping exercises, existing users will
find great value in V5 and its ability to utilize templates for
faster mapping. This one day workshop will change the way you
map.
An Operational Excellence Leader had the following thoughts
about the software's latest release:
"This version feels very easy and intuitive. The functionality
that you showed gives me the information that I want. Specifically,
I want to commend the following features:
- Quick Manufacturing - It's easy to know which items to grab from
the new menu and quickly make a map.
- CT / TT Graph - With 2 clicks, we can create a graph of all
activities and compare to Takt Time.
- Path - This is a new feature that I was going to ask for. This
lets us indicate certain activities so that they can be analyzed as
a group. For me, I can look at people who do more than 1 activity
and see that they are under TAKT.
I was able to create 2 major maps in 1.5 hours on my own. With your
additional 30 minutes of help, I have all the analysis that I need
for my next 2 projects. Thank you very much for your product and
its continued improvements."
After working with v5, an Operations Consultant had these
thoughts:
"Here are benefits that we see with 5.0: the original stencils
that we had created were cumbersome and individuals were either
trying to remove data blocks or went back to creating the activity
centers from scratch. The idea of having a very basic activity
center with the ability to add data blocks as needed is a great
idea. We also like the idea of being able to change data by
activity center (ie. Adding overtime to a specific activity
center). We were all very pleasantly surprised to hear about the
new tool."
Don't miss out on this chance to learn more about the latest
version of eVSM and how the software can increase your ability to
capture, analyze, visualize and share value stream maps as a
critical piece of your lean deployment.
Participants need to bring their own laptops. We will provide
free upgrades for people with licenses older than v5 (normally
$199). Those without eVSM licenses will be able to purchase one for
$150.
