Lean Leadership in Times of Uncertainty: The 2026 Australian Lean Summit Theme Revealed

April 30, 2026

We’re thrilled to share the focus of this year’s Australian Lean Summit — and it’s shaping up to be one of our most energizing programs yet.

After last year’s sold‑out event, the 2026 Summit will once again bring together leaders, practitioners and improvement thinkers from across sectors for two powerful days of learning, connection and practical insight. If you’re passionate about improvement, leadership and better ways of working, this is the gathering you won’t want to miss.

This year, we’re diving deep into one of the most urgent challenges facing organisations today: Lean Leadership in times of uncertainty.

We’ll explore how leaders create the conditions for teams to respond with agility, learn continuously and improve at pace — even as the world around them shifts rapidly. Expect rich conversations and practical examples on:

  • Creating clarity amid complexity
  • Strengthening team capability and confidence
  • Enabling faster cycles of learning and improvement
  • Navigating the evolving intersection of AI and improvement

The role of AI will again be a major theme — not as a buzzword, but as a real, practical force shaping how we work. We’ll look at how AI can accelerate improvement, where it can get in the way, and why human judgement, disciplined learning and strong improvement habits remain the backbone of sustainable performance.

On Thursday 23 July, the full‑day Summit will set the stage with insights, stories and hands‑on learning. Then on Friday 24 July, participants can deepen their experience through a half‑day gemba, choosing between a healthcare or manufacturing setting to observe improvement in action.

For now, save the dates. Registration details, accommodation options and the full program will be released soon.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Adelaide for an inspiring Summit in July.
